Welcome to the new look newsletter and website. It should now be easier for you to browse our site and find what you are looking for. Should you have any thoughts on how we can improve the site please email Stuart at info@baeclub.co.uk The Future of the Club You may have heard rumours going around regarding the possible closure of the Club. These rumours have varied from a there being a possibility to people actually telling us when it is going to close. The truth is that the Club is currently struggling financially. The membership fees that we receive each year do not cover the cost of the swimming pool, and in the current financial climate, with gas & electricity costs spiraling, the Club is starting to feel the pinch. Closure is a possibility, but staff here are currently working hard to ensure that enough money is brought in to keep the Club going. Part of this is to put on shows and other forms of entertainment for members which will bring in much needed revenue. We need members to support the entertainment that we are providing to help us keep your Club going. Although we are not a charity, we are now looking at everything we do as if we were raising money for a good cause, because without the money coming in, the chance of you losing your Club is a distinct possibility. PLEASE REMEMBER WITHOUT MEMBERS SUPPORT THE CLUB MAY CEASE TO EXIST, IF YOU VALUE YOUR CLUB, PLEASE HELP US TO CONTINUE. Club Redevelopment You may be aware that BAE SYSTEMS are looking to sell the land to the East of Bells Lane for housing with a view to putting some of the money raised to improving and increasing facilities at the Club and ensuring that the Club remains open for many years to come. There have been many rumours regarding the land already being sold. To keep members fully up to date, we have put the plans and a diary of how the process is progressing. McAllister's Restaurant McAllister's will be open for a May Day Weekend Carvery and Fathers Day. If you want to enjoy a family meal in comfortable surroundings look no further. |

The Club is also interested in the views of members, should you have any points that you wish to bring up with the Club or any other information you wish to see on the Newsletters, simply email them to info@baeclub.co.uk and we will try to answer everybody's questions.
Alternatively should you have any questions regarding how the Club is run, from memberships to the Management Committee, please send them again to info@baeclub.co.uk and we will post the questions and their answers on a FAQ page on the website.
