The Bowls Section aims to provide bowls for members of all ages with games at all levels from recreational to playing in National Competitions. We play in both the Medway & RACS leagues. We have games against other clubs at weekends

The outdoor season starts at the end of April & runs to the end of September. The indoor season runs for the remainder of the year. Membership is open to all members of the main club.

Please remember that Bowls is no longer a game for the older generation, but is played by youngsters as well. The current world men's champion is only 31, whilst the world lady's champion is only 25.

There are national competitions for under 17's & under 25's which may be entered.

Are you interested ?, if so you can try the game without any commitment, or the need to have any special equipment other than flat soled shoes for an initial time. You will not need to buy a set of bowls or special clothing other than flat soled shoes to start as the club has bowls that can be borrowed. If you decide to take the sport up second hand bowls can be purchased at a fairly reasonable cost. Once you start to play in matches you will need a white shirt/ blouse, white trousers/ skirt & waterproofs.
